In reading we are still looking for the author's purpose for writing the story or for making a character act a certain way. When your child is reading each evening, ask what the author's purpose was. We also are working with retelling the story in sequential order, so ask for the main details in order.
We are looking forward to a great week of learning! Thanks for supporting your child in this learning. If you have any questions, please call or email.

Third grade changes
It is with sadness in my heart that I say goodbye to these 3rd graders that I have become attached to these 2 weeks. I know they will benefit more by being in a full 3rd grade class. Please let them know I, Mrs. Wuest, would love for them to stop by in the morning and say hi. I will be thinking of them as I continue to teach 2nd grade and they go on the remainder of their 3rd grade journey. This year's going to be great!!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kimberly Wuest
