NO SCHOOL MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH Way to go kids - have lots of fun and bring back great stories to share on Tuesday!
This week in math we are going to continue working on rounding, so please give your kids a chance to round for you. For instance, if something costs 59 cents it would round to 60 cents. Please give your child many real life chances to round!
We have a rounding jingle to help them remember the rule.
5 or more raise the score
4 or less, let it rest.

In reading we are still looking for the author's purpose for writing the story or for making a character act a certain way. When your child is reading each evening, ask what the author's purpose was. We also are working with retelling the story in sequential order, so ask for the main details in order.
We are looking forward to a great week of learning! Thanks for supporting your child in this learning. If you have any questions, please call or email.
